About MoKan Cat Park
MoKan Cat Park was officially incorporated on June 14, 2006 in the state of
Missouri on 32 acres of land by founder Irene Satterfield. Please continue
reading below to learn more about MoKan Cat Park (MCP).
 MoKan's Mission
Our primary mission is to preserve a limited number of cats by providing
lifelong homes; giving the best diet, veterinarian care and enrichment in an
environment that blurs the line between nature and captivity.
Our secondary mission is then to research behavior to create optimal captive
environments. Lastly, we must educate. It becomes a responsibility
to share not only our knowledge gained through non-intrusive, behavioral
observations, but the experience of being near these majestic animals.
The broader mission, therefore, is to reduce the number of cats that suffer the
fate of abandonment and abuse by educating as many people as possible about the
conditions and cultural mindsets that lead to the plight of these felines.
How You Can Help A Wild One
There are several ways that you can help the cats residing at MoKan Cat Park.
You can become involved in our sponsorship program which gives you the
opportunity to help care for one of our wild cats. When you become involved in
our Fund-A-Feline program, not only will you be satisfied that you are helping
one of the residents at MoKan, you will receive a photograph of your adopted
feline as well as information on the resident and a certificate of adoption.
Membership You can become involved in our membership program for 1 year or
choose to be on our lifetime level. Becoming a member of MoKan Cat Park enables
you to receive free passes to the park, quarterly newsletters, and a 10%
discount in our gift shop. Contributions You are more than welcome to submit
your own contribution to MoKan Cat Park. We are a non-profit organization and
are solely operated by contributions from the general public.
